  • Last day of school Aug 6

August 1st (2:24pm) – This is the final week of “school”

    CornerStone Families:

After careful consideration, Principal Young and Vice-Principal Helmuth made recommendations to conclude the 2020-2021 academic school-year this forthcoming week, due to the outside impacts of Covid-19 and resulting staff shortages. Technically, this is a shortening of the academic school-year by two-days and allows us to combine the last two-weeks into one. The teachers have been notified and will be making any necessary adjustments to final assignments, quizzes, tests, make-up work, etc. Each class will be receiving a detailed communication regarding their specific new schedule or adjustments on Monday (August 2nd)

Here is the overall school schedule for this final week:

    • Monday, Aug 2: Regular school day
    • Tuesday Aug 3: Regular school day
    • Wednesday Aug 4: Last day of quarter
    • Thursday Aug 5: School clean-up day
    • Friday Aug 6:
         9-9:30am K Graduation
         11-11:30am Yearbook signing
11:30-3:30pm Financial check-out; report cards go home

*Attendance Thursday and Friday are not mandatory

If the recent uptrend of Covid has any family concerned to the level of not wanting to have their student on-site Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday, they may request an off-site alternative. Upon notification and request directly to the teacher(s), they will assemble work ready for pick-up on Monday, set to be returned by Wednesday August 4th.  Regardless of circumstance, all academic work will be due NO LATER than this Wednesday at 3:00pm.

We appreciate your support and consideration as we wrap-up this academic school year. Please contact your teacher(s) for any further questions or clarifications.

    Within His blessing,

    Rev. John Young

    Exec. Director

Last week school. Finals will be Monday and Tuesday. All missing assignments must be in by Wednesday.

I'm so proud of the 4th graders for working so hard!!

I'm sorry I won't be there due to my oldest son testing positive for covid. I'm so sorry I can't spend the last week with them but God has a plan and we can trust Him.

    No Spelling this week.

  • July 26

Three weeks left! This week we will have a class party on Friday afternoon. The kids can wear some appropriate pajama outfits and bring a stuffed animal and small blanket. We will have pizza for lunch and a movie with snacks after. They may bring any snacks they would like. I plan to bring popcorn and chips as well. As always they will need to have all their work for the week in before they can participate but I know they will do it.

Don’t forget to schedule orientation if your student will be coming back next year.
