In Math, we are continuing to discuss two and three-digit long division, as well as fractions.  Later in the week, we will begin discussing Metric Measures of Length.

For example: kilometer = 1,000 meters, decameter = 10 meters, etc.

In Language, we are continuing to review capitalization and punctuation.  There are many components to these topics. Therefore, we will be discussing them for a little longer than most concepts.

We are beginning to dive into the “five senses” (sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste) and how to write creative sentences using those senses.

We are currently reviewing Chapter 4 of Science--and it’s all about birds!  One of the assignments this week is page 101, Sections A-C EVERY OTHER ONE. However, for an extra credit opportunity and also for extra review, I am offering the kids to do ALL the questions instead of every other one.

I am offering a similar opportunity for Social Studies.  We are reviewing Chapters 8 and 9, and one of their assignments is the Chapter 9 Checkup on page 99, #1-11 ODDS.  Their extra credit points would come from getting not just the ODDS done, but also the EVENS. The two topics we have been discussing are The Great Awakening, and The French and Indian War.  I will soon be providing flash cards for the students to use for all the names that they will have to memorize!

We are continuing to study our review vocabulary words, and will be testing on them this week!  Make sure your kiddo gets extra practice at home.
