REMINDER: All tuition and daycare balances are due now.  They cannot be an outside balance carried over into the new 2020 year.  Educational services may be discontinued unless balances are current.  Thank you.

    CCA CHRISTMAS PROGRAM INFO:

K-6TH GRADE KIDS NEED TO BE AT THE CHURCH BY 10:20AM

CLASS CHRISTMAS PARTIES: Grades preschool-6th grade will have their Christmas parties on Friday, December 20.  Kids can wear their pajamas.

STRING FOR GLOVES – We are recommending everyone do the following with their child and their gloves/mittens: Get a long piece of string, ribbon, or yarn that you match to the length of your kid’s wingspan.  Tie the string to both mittens/gloves (you may need to make a small hole and a knot, but it’s worth it in the longrun).  Then run one mitten/glove and the string through both sleeves of the coat.  The mittens/gloves will then just hang out the bottom of the sleeves and we will spend less time searching for lost gloves.

SNOW CLOTHES: When snow is on the ground, kids need ALL FIVE THINGS to go outside.  All five things means: winter coat that zips, hood/hat, snow pants, snow boots, gloves; kids who do not bring their snow things will have to sit in the preschool during recess (which is not is much fun as playing outside).  Kids can also prepare to bring sleds for recess.  All sleds need their name in permanent marker in BIG LETTERS.

FOOD POLICY: Please note the following change regarding food policies: If your child will be at school during breakfast or lunch, please DO NOT send the following food/drink items: hot chocolates, Gatorade, any colored drinks, pizza lunchables, cinnamon roll lunchables.  We have had bad experiences with these items in the past; as a result, they are no longer allowed in the building.

SILVERWOOD READING TICKET HAS CHANGED: Silverwood no longer participates in “Reading is the Ticket” free ticket program.  They now use “Read to Ride.”  Our school has applied to participate in this program and is waiting to hear back from the Silverwood organization.  There may be a chance that they do not respond to our request this year, which is common in such large reading initiatives.  It took several years for our school to become a part of the former reading initiative.  If we do not get accepted this year, we hope our name is placed at the top of the list for the 2019-2020 school year session.  We will keep you informed of our progress as details unfold.

  • NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL - NOV 12

NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL – WEEK 10       NOV 12, 2018

SCHOOL & DAYCARE CLOSED MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12 in honor of Veteran’s Day.

    THANKSGIVING FEAST WEEK DETAILS:

MONDAY (Nov 12)- No school or daycare - closed

TUESDAY (Nov 13) – Regular school day

WEDNESDAY (Nov 14) – Thanksgiving Feast; The feast times are 11-11:30.  There is no school following the feast but daycare is available.

THURSDAY (Nov 15) & FRIDAY (Nov 16) - PARENT CONFERENCES:  Please see your teacher to schedule your parent conference.  Report cards will be distributed at conferences.

SNOW CLOTHES: Hate to say it but it’s time to get those snow clothes packed and ready!!  When snow is on the ground, kids need ALL FIVE THINGS to go outside.

PLEASE NOTE CALENDAR DATE CHANGE: The Christmas Program date has been changed to Dec 15 because of facility availability.  Please mark the date change in your calendar.

  • NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL - SEPT 17

NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL – WEEK 3       SEPT 17, 2018

TUITION OPTIONS: Please see your child’s teacher or the office for paperwork on your tuition options for this school year.  Some of our parents have expressed an interest in paying their tuition balance over eleven months instead of twelve.  As you know, our current tuition rates are based on a twelve-month payment schedule.  The total tuition cost is distributed over twelve months, making the payment the same each month regardless of the amount of days students attend school.  We want to give families the choice of either an eleven-month or twelve-month pay schedule that best fits your financial needs.

Please read the tuition scales and determine which one works for you.  Please sign the note of understanding and return before September 21 so we can prepare your October statement correctly.  Thank you!

  • NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL - SEPT 10

NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL – WEEK 2       SEPT 10, 2018

Welcome to Week 2!! Everyone did such a wonderful job last week beginning a new school year.  Let’s make it another great one!!

JUPITER GRADES: We use www.jupitered.com as our online grading program.  Each parent K-8th grade received a login and password.  It is very important you go online and check your child’s progress weekly.  If you cannot find your login information, please email Mrs. Young and she can provide it to you.

MISSING RECORDS?  As we gather the paperwork for a new school year, please make sure you have everything in by September 14.  Mrs. Young will be sending notes home and posting reminders at the secure log-in station in the lobby.  WE MUST HAVE ALL RECORDS UP TO DATE BY FRIDAY!!

SECURE SCHOOL ENTRY: Reminder to parents that ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BE ESCORTED INTO THE BUILDING THE FIRST FEW WEEKS OF SCHOOL. Students grades 3rd and older may be able to enter their fingerprints as we get the school year going, but we need to get parents going first.

PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ONE ANOTHER DURING THIS TIME as new families are getting used to the new secure entry.

There will be an OPEN HOUSE TUESDAY so you can meet them! Our teachers will be in their classrooms Tuesday evening, September 11th from 5:30-6:30pm for kids to introduce their teachers or show you their classrooms.  We hope you can attend!!
