REMINDER: End of 2nd quarter is THIS Friday.
IMPROVED COMMUNICATIONS FOR FAMILIES - Within the next few weeks, CCA will be implementing several new improvements to our school communication delivery system - including push e-communications such as instant text notifications and emails.
As we make these improvements, it is VERY IMPORTANT for each student or childcare family to enroll in our E-Communication system.

JAN 28 – 13 - VALENTINE’S STORE: Parents and students can buy a Valentine/gift for their child at the Valentine store located in the hallway. Balloon orders stop Monday, Feb 11.
FEB 4 – PUZZLED PENGUIN CAST: The following students turned in permission slips for the Puzzled Penguin play. FEB 4-8 – SHOE BOXES NEEDED: Students K-8 will be making valentine’s boxes and need a shoe box by Feb 8. KINDERGARTEN KIDS NEED TO BRING A SHOE BOX BY FEB 8.
FEB 14- PARTY DETAILS:
- Kids can wear pajamas
- Kids can bring Valentine cards for their friends (Preschool-1st Grade write “To: You” on each, not individual names)
- NOTE: We have:
- Preschool (2s and 3s): 28 kids
- Pre-K (4s): 22 kids
- Kindergarten: 18 AM and 15 PM kids
- First Grade: 22 kids
- Second Grade: 19 kids
- Third Grade: 20 kids
- Fourth Grade: 13 kids
- Fifth/Sixth Grade: 24 kids
- Middle School: 7 kids
- Kids can bring treats and/or healthy foods for their friends
- Kindergarten: Parents are welcome to spend the day with us (the “party” times are during the entire class session)
- Parents can buy a Valentine for their child at the Valentine store located in the hallway
FEB 25- REGISTRATION for Fall 2019-2020 opens Feb 25…stay tuned for registration forms!
FEB 25 - SPRING FUNDRAISER BEGINS!! Our spring fundraiser begins Monday, Feb 25 and runs through Mar 8. We will be selling plants, trail mix, and other items. Please watch for the packet…thank you in advance for helping our school!
FEB 26 – UPCOMING KINDERGARTEN MEETING: Know someone interested in kindergarten in the fall? Mrs. Young will be holding an informational meeting for incoming kindergarten families to discuss the various options for kindergarten and the program offered at CCA. The meeting will be Tuesday, Feb 26 at 5:30pm at CCA.
It’s that time of year again! If there is SNOW or ICE on the ground, kids cannot go outside unless they have all 5 things:
1. Winter coat that zips
2. Hat or hood
3. Snow boots
4. Mittens or gloves
5. Snow pants

February 16 - Women’s ministry coffee date, 10am at Gross Doughnuts in Post Falls
February 18 – President’s Day (school and daycare closed)
February 19-22 – Drama Camp for K-8th grade, 9-11:30am; cost is $20 for those who do not currently pay for daycare; no charge for those who do already pay for daycare
February 23 – Children’s theatre “The Puzzled Penguin” 10-10:30am at the Altar Church in CDA
February 25 – Registration for fall opens to CCA families
February 25 – Spring fundraiser begins
February 26 – Meeting for incoming kindergarten families for fall 2019-2020
FOOD POLICY: Please note the following change regarding food policies: If your child will be at school during breakfast or lunch, please DO NOT send the following food/drink items: hot chocolates, Gatorade, any colored drinks, pizza lunchables, cinnamon roll lunchables. We have had bad experiences with these items in the past; as a result, they are no longer allowed in the building.
