With the current update in our community, of the Coeur d’ Alene School District closing all schools in their district for precautionary measures, many have asked what the recommendations are regarding child cares.
Currently the Public Health’s Recommendation for Child Care’s is that you can resume your regular operations at this time. Child care’s serve a different threshold of children and serve a crucial role for children and families.
Continue following the below important guidance:
- Complete Health Checks upon arrival
- Wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and water whenever available
- Clean frequently touched surfaces daily, mouthed toys, etc
- Follow your exclusion policy for student and staff
- Provide reminders and education to children, staff and families for covering cough and sneeze with a tissue and washing hands when done.
This is a rapidly changing event and we will be sending updates as soon as we have them. Please reach out with any questions

**FOR CORNERSTONE FAMILIES**
One question being asked specifically in regards to CORNERSTONE is how we will deal with the financial impacts of a potential shut-down and billing adjustments.
At this time, if we are forced to close due to Covid-19, we will suspend all daycare, preschool, and tuition payments for the period we are out of operation. More specific to your question is if you voluntarily put your child on leave even if CCA is open? For preschool, we will hold spaces and treat it as an extended leave situation. Mindy will make adjustments accordingly for up to 14-days. On the Elementary school-side, with several off-weeks remaining throughout the school-year, we would anticipate rescheduling the school days thereby needing no adjustment on tuition based accounts.
We will be posting more information as we continue ongoing planning and discussions.
Continued Prayers for all who are impacted by this epidemic...
