    ~Mrs. Galli's Weekly 4th Grade News~Week 3

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

Open house was a great success, and I enjoyed visiting with all who could come.  Please feel free to come in before or after school for your child to ‘give you the tour’ this coming week if you did not get a chance yet!  Please note a change in the memory verse which is now Psalm 23 for the next couple weeks.  Many students earned a 5 point warm fuzzy for memorizing Isaiah 53:6! Fabulous! Please be practicing the American’s Creed as well!

Students may turn this assignment in early. J I will pass out Book Report forms this Friday for a guideline of expectations for this assignment.

    American’s Creed

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

    BIBLE VERSE:

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10

    Reading Logs~Due each Friday

Please read each night with your child and sign form that has been sent home in homework folder.

Here is a recap of some classroom procedures: Each week we will be studying a new list of spelling words.  Please review with your child, and each word must be written 3x's each (due Wednesday). If a student earns 100% on a Thursday pretest, they will not need to take the test Friday, and earn 5 warm fuzzies.  Warm Fuzzies are our class's positive behavior management system that will create a lot of incentive and fun!  Some ways a student can earn a fuzzy is memorizing the weekly scripture verse, excellent work, or earning a Character Badge.  Ways a student can loose a fuzzy is forgetting to put their name on a paper, interrupt the teacher, or not being prepared for day with sharpened pencil!  Each Friday, students will trade fuzzies in for Coupons.  Some of these coupons are~earning a new pencil, a no homework pass for 1 night, or extra doodling time.(If Parents would like to donate small items from the Dollar Store such as pencils, fun erasers, special pens, etc., that would be MUCH appreciated! Thank you for all you do already!)
